Ocado any good?

I've just placed my first order with Ocado - cos I'm being taken into hospital on Saturday to be 'seduced' (what my nan used to say happened to her friend instead of INDUCED) and won;t have time to go shopping.
I was hoping you wise MNers are customers and have been happy with the service?

Had a delivery today, I use intermitantly for occasions like you suggest. They definately cost me more than going to Sainsbury's but send regular money off vouchers, but delivery is good, rarely have substitutes. My only gripe is they are always early which seems to negate the idea of booking a slot but at least today they phoned to ask if it was ok to come early

Ocado -- absolutely brilliant. We have moved out of their catchment area now and can only get Tesco direct, which imho is vastly inferior. Ocado may cost a little more, but delivery is free and it's worth every penny.

ocado are great - when they broke my eggs I got them free (2 out of 12 broken) and a money off voucher!!
Know what you mean geogteach about them coming early - although the other day they waited until I got home when I was stuck in traffic (made him late for all his other deliveries though )

marvellous.... we use them about once a month, and they never quibble if they have left something out or you don't like their substitution and ring to complain... instant apology and refund. They completely messed up a delivery with vital nappy and formula supplies on the order, and we wrote a stinker of an e-mail to the customer services.... they sent a £25 voucher AND gave us our (£150) shop FOR FREE.
They can apologize like that any time they like

They are I think the best of the bunch, but they're certainly not perfect. The early delivery is quite common. Also, don't assume that they have everything that Waitrose has-some stocks are quite limited.
