How much water to rice do you do?

I was told twice as much water to rice, but think this is too much. Anyone else?

there should be level indicators on it. if you put four cups of rice in, then the water should reach the level four, with the rice in it. if you have lost the cup provided, then i would do just less than double. so 6 cups to four cups of whatever measure you choose to use, for example
