These are what DS3 and I plan to make in the morning - minus the nuts, as we forgot to buy any. So not tried and tested, but they look promising.

mmm, they look nice.
i had been thinking about these but i'm not sure if i don't prefer the look of your recipe....

I use the recipe on here for butterscotch blondies take 2 (scroll down), but leave out the macadamias as we aren't keen on them.

I 'know' her from another site.
Her baking recipes never fail.

Hassled · 12/04/2011 19:47

I did make them but I tweaked the recipe (melted the butter and chocolate together as per standard brownies) rather than just melt the butter and chop the chocolate as they said. And they were delicious, but mostly liquid. Didn't really set in any way - I'm guessing it's the higher sugar content in white chocolate?

So yes I made them, but not properly, and they were lovely but probably best not to meddle with the instructions :o.

I've just made the Rachel Allen recipe and it's really good.
I've heard good things about her baking but avoid usually as she annoys the shit out of meGrin

Grin i always want to poke her in the eye as well.

I have ordered the stuff for the Rachel Allen ones from Mr. Sainsbury, and will be giving them a go on Good Friday.

I had to cover with foil after 15 minutes as the edges would have burned, but other than that, they were brilliant and will be made again.
My friend was here for coffee and I gave her a couple to take home as she loved them so much.

Nigella has a good recipe for Blondies. Sorry don't know how to add a link Blush

NettoSuperstar · 16/04/2011 17:42

I've not tried any Nigella blondies, but her everyday brownies from kitchen are fantastic.

CharlotteBronteSaurus · 22/04/2011 10:11

have just made the Rachel Allen ones in the link.
they are verrry sweet, but not sickly sweet, and delicious. would make a brilliant dessert warm with ice cream, although I'm taking them cold to a do tomorrow.
