MSG !

Do fast food joints like mcdonalds, burger king, kfc use msg ? Im in my 4th month and craving the burgers and fries :(

I doubt there is MSG in MacDonalds fries.

I don't believe that MSG is particularly bad for you.

It seems to vary. While I also don't believe that MSG is in and of itself harmful, my DP has IBS and MSG is, in his case, the main trigger to setting it off, so I've spent the last year or so reading just about every food label in the supermarket, I'm sure people think I'm insane! It's not very scientific but the empirical evidence of 'DP avoids MSG and is fine, DP eats things with MSG and isn't fine at all' is hard to ignore.
Fast food is unpredictable, usually DP tries something and if it makes him ill he doesn't ever order it again, only way to find out most of the time. It even varies within chain, in some places certain menu items are fine and others are really not.
