Chicken - slow cooker

has anyone eve done a full chicken in the slow cooker i am a bit nervous about doing one , I have done beef joints and gammon

lots of people do them on here and report good things. you just stick it in with a tiny bit of stock or water (it makes its own so eggcupful ok) and then if you want it browned stick in oven. didn't work in my slowcooker - outside overcooked and inside not cooked - but then its a very old cooker so maybe new models better

think some people add veg chopped finely in bottom or stick herbs/lemons etc in
