Do you just stick some bread in the blender?

Yep -tha's what i do. If the bread is a bit soft - toast it lightly first.

I try the ends/heels of the loaf for a day, then put tear them up and put them in the blender. Then put them in a freezer proof bag and pop them in the freezer. Use 'em right from the ice box. Works a treat!

ghoulgrrl · 30/10/2005 15:12

yep, we use the blender too.

When I was little, my mum used to let bread dry out or go stale but not mouldy in an airy cupbord and then get me to grate it. I use crushed cornflakes as my ds is allergic to wheat, good for fish and chicken fingers (cut into strips, dip into egg and roll around in the cornflakes (I usually add some herbs and spices for extra flavour) then fry in some oil for a couple of minutes.

Twiglett · 08/11/2005 13:34
