Hello,
I have a bag of carrots that, come tomorrow, will not be fit for human consumption. So as I hate waste I have decided to attempt this recipe
www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2089/spiced-carrot-and-lentil-soup

It calls for cumin seeds which I do not have so am considering substituting ground cumin instead. Will it work? I dont really have a great knowledge of flavours etc so reluctant to experiment without the MN stampt of approval Grin

will be fine - couple of teaspoons of ground cumin in carrot soup is lovely Smile

Agree.

Ground cumin has a very slightly different flavour - less zesty - but I don't think anyone would notice.
