I keep having disasters with banana bread - it's all uncooked in the middle despite ages in the oven.
Any other ideas?

I've skimmed the thread, so I'm sorry for repeating if I do.

But frozen bananas, whizzed in the blender with some buttermilk make an instant banana ice cream for lazy slatterns like myself a handy quick pudding for annoying urches....

Banana and walnut muffins. Tasty breakfast. Elevenses. Lunch. Tea........Midnight snack.

Mashed banana and peanut butter sandwiches.

Flambéd Bananas in pancakes with honey

Can you see that I have this problem sussed due to the high volume of black bananas I get in my house Grin

Smoothies! Throw one or two bananas (older the better), a few spoons of yoghourt and handful of frozen berries into a blender and whizz it up. More popular these days than ice cream in our house. Can also add some honey, any other soft fruit, switch rice milk for yoghout for non-dairy.
Or freeze bananas, that´s always good here too.

Oh bummer. Yes - proper tin.

theresapotatoundermysink · 30/03/2011 15:02

Boo. At least you used up the bananas :).

I have a very large tin collection including one which is more than adequate for banana bread and mine still always goes wrong. Sob.

How about these they are particularly good muffins that rarely get into a tin
