Yes- here

You can use ordinary milk instead of the soya with no real effects. Pumpkin pie spice is just cinnamon, ginger and ground cloves.

Sorry, forgot to say it's delicious- even on the record pumpkin pie haters like this!

Thanks for the recipe.... quick question tho - what is "Canned solid pack pumpkin" - and how does that relate to the innards of a fresh pumplin?
Thanks

Thanks WW, so it looks like Solid Pack Pumpkin is basically pumpkin puree. Think i can cope with that - sounds quite nice actually.... I'll report back next week!

Here's one I've used successfully its for a 9" pie dish lined with shortcrust pastry baked blind or a ready made pastry shell

6tbsp soft brown sugar
1 tbsp caster sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinammon
1/2tsp ginger
3 (or pinch of ground) cloves
5fl oz golden syrup
3 egg yolks
8oz cooked pumpkin
12fl oz single cream or evaporated milk
1tsp vanilla
3 egg whites, beaten

Preheat oven to 190C/375F or Gas Mark 5
Blend in sugars, salt , spices, syrup and egg yolks
Mix in cooked pumpin, ceam and vanilla essence
Fold in egg whites
Put mixture into pastry shell and bake for 45mins to 1 hr

I'd fogotten about this - might even get a pumpkin and make one now!
