I`ve got a cooking apple tree and an eating apple tree in my garden. At this time of year I have got lots of apples, anyone got any good ideas as to how to use them up?

Cooking apples -Make up loads of apple/pie crumble and don't cook it. Then freeze. As for the eating apples, erm don't know. Eat them or try to flog em in your local corner shop.

BTW you are incredibly lucky. I wish I had one. Do you live in Essex cos' I may come and do some scrumping.

Wrap each one individually in newspaper, store in cool/dark eg. garge and they'll last till spring. Then there's no rush to use 'em up quickly. An apple pie here & there plus apple sauce and they're gone without all the work of cooking loads and frezing.
Good luck
