recipe or quantities for a rectangular birthday cake

I do lots of baking but always make round ones (and the occasional banana cake in a square tin as that is what the recipe suggests) however it's DD1's 3rd birthday tomorrow and she has requested a Humpty Dumpty cake. I've got a chocolate egg to make the body and some yogurty covered bits to make a wall but I think to create this masterpiece I need a rectangular base rather than my usual 8" round tins. I'm going to look out my rectangular tins but what sort of cake mixture would I need for a shallow rectangular tin?
Would a basic 6oz flour, 6oz marg, 6oz sugar 3 egg combo work ?

What is the size of the shallow rectangular tin? That's probably the crucial bit of info :)

sorry I'm easily distracted.
My options are:
9 x 12 1/2 inch shallow rectangular tin
7 x 12 1/2 inch shallow rectangular tin
9 1/2 x 11 inch deep sided roasting tin - not straight edged but could work?

or just a big deep circle
I've got a 9 1/2 inch deep circular tin which I usually use for cheesecake.
