How far in advance can I make it? If i make it today will it be Ok for Sunday afternoon?

It may not be at its absolute best, but will be perfectly edible. All that sugar will help preserve it.

I wouldn't, the banana layer will look a bit yucky by then IMO. You could do all the prep work now eg make the base and the toffee, even whip the cream up and refrigerate in an airtight container, but chop the bananas and assemble it on Sunday

If you are not cooking the bananas, I agree with TLM, if your method is more like a banana tarte tatin, with cooked bananas, then you would be OK (and it would save time on Sunday).

if you put the bananas under the toffee instead of on top, it will last fine. Just don't put cream on until Sunday. The problem I would have would be not eating it.
