This will teach me for trying new recipes! Went a bit mad and made a dish called "Keema Curry" which has mince, tomatoes, yoghurt and a abundunce of different spices. Did follow the instructions but it nearly blew my head off with the chilli powder thats in it. Is there anything I can add to try to tone it down? Thanks

Natural Yoghurt and lots of it.

Thank you!!! Having spent so much time making the damn thing would hate not to be able to eat it!

Pass it my way-am a slave to chillies.
LGJ has the right idea-that and lots of plain rice.

Probably too late, but lemon juice will tone down the chilli too

Does it serah??
Wow,thought I knew every chilli trick in the book.
Obviously not!
(Btw if it gets in your eyes, rub them with hair-your own or someone elses. The natural hair oil neutralises it.)

add some potatos, and let it cook a while longer. they will absorb up some of the chillis.
apparently my grandmother used to use a dumpling of dough to absorb excess salt, and then chuck it. i dont see why that wont work with chilli

It really works MD.... can't remember where I got it from but I needed to try it shortly after hearing about it and it did the trick!

Certainly didn't know the hair thing - I shall remember that the next time DP wipes Habanerro in his eyes. Depending on whether he's been a nice DP or a bad DP I shall tell him that one!
