Socialist Cupcakes...

I am fully aware of how this is missing the point a bit, but let's run with it...

I am going to a picket line on Thursday (not my strike) to provide general moral support, deliver some leaflets for the local anti cuts group and generally cheer people on. It is an outpost of the main strike place, so it is likely that there won't be many people, although it is very near my house, so I can always nip back and get more supplies if needed.

Anyhow, leaving out the politics of it all, I thought that taking along cakes might a) cheer people up and b) give them something to eat and keep people energetic if needed. Also, I love baking, and I have a free day tomorrow.

So, ideas for socialist cake?

I'm thinking red is a good colour...

I actually think just plain strong red is the way to go

you could make red velvet cakes with red icing

ooh ooh ooh a "stay left" arrow? (may not be so obvious with round cakes though...)
