Weetabix, disappointing sugar increase

My lo has been enjoying weetabix bitesize for breakfast, he loves anything he can pick up, not that keen on a spoon, so this has been a lifesaver, all the goodness of normal weetabix but easier to eat with fingers!

BUT weetabix have replaced 'bitesize' with 'crispy minis' which contain nearly 4 times the amount of sugar!!! 7.1 grams per 40g serving, nearly 2 teaspoons.

I have contacted them to say I won't be buying them for this reason, and I have asked them to go back to the healthier version. If you agree, you can contact them via this link www.weetabix.co.uk/get-in-touch

I've noticed that weetabix advertise on mumsnet and children are one of their target markets, so lets let them know what we parents think about this!

It must have been inspired by the AIBU to refuse a guest sugar on his weetabix thread

Just cut up a normal weetabix

Yes, littleducks, maybe I should get a knife out and get a life. A knife for the weetabix I mean. But it is bl**dy annoying of them.

If it is still upsetting you maybe post on the weetabix thread that has a sticky, you might at least get a response then
