My 2 boys like beef but the girls prefer chicken I don't mind which and neither does dh.
I've got some stewing beef and some chicken thighs both need using tomorrow, I've got to work in the afternoon so was planning on puting the slow cooker on and thought I would try to please everyone, but will it work, which stock should I use or has anyone got any better ideas??
If I ask the children they will probably say yuck but if I serve it up they won't notice.
Is it a bad idea??

Is it really that bad, I suppose I should go and do a chicken meal now and then put the beef in the slow cooker but I've only just finished cooking tonights dinner and can't be bothered.

Not a problem. I would go Beef Bourgignon style which works brilliantly for both chicken and beef. because you're using chicken thighs they have plenty of flavour so can handle it. From some chopped onions, brown the meat (both types) muchroom, bacon lardons and then I would go beef stock (but chicken would work). Splash of red wine ( as long as you boil the alcohol off). A bay leaf and some thyme (or bouquet garni). Job done.
