[Cheap] Adult lunchbox ideas?

I'm trying to save money and am being weedled into buying way too many £3.50 pizzas at the place I work (they are amazing! Customers pay double for them and I get suckered in a good few times a week!) and would like some lunchbox ideas that won't break the budget but that will be more interesting than pasta with a different sauce every day!

I'm a vegetarian too. My lunchbox has two compartments. In the larger compartment I have pasta usually, or some form of roasted root veg with rice or cous cous, and in the top smaller compartment I keep my 'treats', like a nice melon fruit salad or some cheese and crackers. Sandwiches don't fit ino my lunchbox unfortunately! But I'd take them in separately if I could fill them with something more interesting than cheese or veggie 'ham'.

Give me some ideas for nice lunchbox items please!

(My lunchbox is an Aladdin Bento one if that helps...)

instead of the normal sandwiches what about pitta bread filled with salad, potato salad, cheese, - whatever fits in!

veg fritatta

quiche with cold new potatoes and salad

could u take a hot flask for soup? and a crusty roll

The soup will go in my lunchbox, but being honest, work does amazing fresh soups for cheaper than what I buy out of work so I'd go for those normally but they don't fill me up enough.

fritattas sound good! I may do some of those for next week actually Grin

Pittas are good too, I could probably take a poty of hummus and just take pitta, falafel and veggies. Thanks for that idea Grin
