Best budget supermarket?

I've finally got a car, so now have access to the likes of Lidl, Aldi, Netto and Farmfoods rather than having to settle for Tesco delivery. Big hooray!

That said, I don't really know where to start in terms of the budget supermarkets?

I'd prefer to just do 1 big shop per week, unless it's really worth splitting it (getting cupboard stuff in one place and fresh in another for example)

We cook from scratch pretty much all the time, (just the occassional oven pizza or curry sauce) so not too worried about convienience foods. Couldn't give a toffee about brands, as long as it tastes nice/works.

Which do you find best for your weekly shop?

I go everywhere. Tomorrows list runs Sainsburys/Asda/Tesco/Market as they all have diffrent offers so are all diffrent for the best price but my shopping list has worked out at £60 max for 2 weeks.

My advice to you would be to shop around and find out which one suits you and wheres best for what you need to buy run it through mysupermarket.

We found ASDA lots cheaper than Tesco, but I like to pop into Lidl day-to-day as they have more interesting stuff in!

Morrisons & Aldi are best on fresh produce if all you're worried about is price. But if you want food that doesn't go off after a couple of days you're better off going for the 'Basic' range at Sainsbury!

Did you see that TV programme that showed that budget fruit and veg had less vitamins ? It was quite an eye-opener and I buy the pricier stuff now.

I go to asda for smartprice and aldi. I'm usually all done by 9 monday morning.
