Ok, so got in this morning after having an eventful morning meaning me and DS had to rush out, and the fridge door had been left slightly open, not sure how long??,could have been DH before work at 8? or i could have been him or me Blushat bedtime 1am?!

Ok so i have chicken fillets in said fridge that was for dinner tonight? Would you eat it now or would you bin it?

I'm well over cautious with chicken, after getting a rank one years ago that was still in date but clearly OFF!!!

Help it's meant to be for dinner tonight?!

my mother-in-law always kept her christmas turkey in pantry for a few days before cooking it without any issue and if the heating has been off during time the fridge was open and it has been fairly cool in the house then I think it would still be safe to eat. Certainly, I would still use it provided that it is well wrapped up and within use by date.

yup well wrapped, and use by 18th :) Heating was off during this time, and the fridge door wasn't completely open, so it was probably at most room temp in there?!
