Cheese experts identify my cheese please!

My sister has Italian students. They brought her a massive chunk or parmesan (mmmmm, we have a share :)), plus one in a red/orange rind, it's a rough sphere, called Marzolino Del Chianti. It's quite mild and pale. Any ideas? And if you know, any tips on what to do with it? (apart from the obvious...)
