I used a beaten egg to brush the rim of a pie earlier so there is almost a whole egg left

Can I put the egg in the fridge and use tomorrow? Or do I need to chuck?

I have done that before and used the egg/egg yolk/egg white the next day. Did not suffer any food poisoning. That's not to say you won't if you do the same thing. Wink

Seriously though, I won't worry if I use it the next day.

i think salmonella was from the outside of the eggs.

will be fine, if you had beaten it into a batter mix you would be able to use it tomorrow, cant see the difference!
