They go black in the fridge.

Buy fewer/eat them faster.....

leothelioness · 09/03/2011 13:21

don't put them in the fridge they will go black and taste horrible.
they need to be at room temp. buy less of them if you are not getting through them.
Freeze overripe bananas and use them to make banana bread.

BornToFolk · 09/03/2011 13:21

In the fruitbowl. They don't last long enough to affect anything else!

Pancakeflipper · 09/03/2011 13:23

Fruitbowl.

stripeytiger · 09/03/2011 13:44

In the fruit bowl. I read or heard somewhere that putting them alongside apples will make them go black or a bit over ripe.

2 fruit bowls maybe?

nickelprincess · 09/03/2011 13:46

I don't have bananas, but you're supposed to keep them separate from other fruit.
when i have had them, i've put them on top of the tub that holds the tea bags. Grin
that works (and as BorntoFolk says, they don't last long enough!) (DH eats them)

they don't do well in the fridge, though.

this week i have gone thru 12 last week 3, will have to manage amounts better or force more on dds and friends. have minimal kitchen so didnt want other bits on the side.

maybe in a cupboard then?
with pots?

HettyAmaretti · 09/03/2011 16:37

Um, if they're consistently going brown before you eat them then you must be buying too many.

Ours are fine in teh fruitbowl but we get through them very quickly.
