I am going to make nigella's teriyaki chicken tonight, but it contains sake and mirin.. I was wondering if there would be a problem serving it to my toddler, or should the alcohol evaporate? Thank you.

It'll evaporate when heated and a tiny drop wouldn't hurt anyway!

Thanks, made it and it was lovely! Ds enjoyed it, though his favourite part was the rice :)

Alcohol has a lower boiling point than water (about 70 degrees) so any time you cook with it, it should evaporate off during the cooking process :) I'm not sure but I think baking might be slightly different but anything else should be fine!
