I have been making cupcakes for a while now for friends (weddings/birthdays/christenings etc) and have always bought the sugar paste decorations for the top.
I recently saw some beautiful butterflies, but they were 40p each, so I bought a plunger type thing, and made my own.
I am ridiculously pleased with them! I went back to the shop today and bought a daisy one, and have spent all afternoon making hundreds of different coloured ones.
It will save me a fortune. The plungers were less than £4 each, and the sugar paste was £4.50. I coloured it myself, and now have a huge stock of lovely things to top my cakes with
