Your favourite dinner party starter

There is another thread about dessert, so I thought it would be interesting to have your starters that are always a firm favourite.

Tomato Bouillaibaisse (Mary Berry's recipe)

At the moment it is red onion and goats cheese tarts, I also do alot potted shrimps (do it myslef not buy in) with melba toast.

Last time I made chicken, mozzarella and tomato filo pastry tarts with pesto. Super easy and very impressive :)

I like sharing plates, like a small version of canapes, instead of a starter. Put a variety of stuff on it, eg stuffed Peppadews ( stuffed with a Turkish rice mix or with a Philly/Boursin mix ), chargrilled chillis with mozarella on wee bruschetta etc etc.

Oeufs en cocottes.

Nigella Lawson's onion tart recipe (How to Eat) - never had a complaint yet . Otherwise a nice soup or gazpacho in the summer.

Thai fishcakes & sweet chilli sauce served with rocket- yum!

Delia's roasted balsamic onions with shaved parmesan and parma ham. Yummy!
