Please tell me something that I can do with some/all the above and possibly pasta???!! I'd love risotto but DH claims he can't stand it (though of course he eats it, but I don't fancy the usual row that we have when I make it).

I also have a small-ish portion of frozen bolognese sauce, and other staples such as tinned toms, potatoes etc.

chunky soup? onion, garlic, green chilli, pancetta fried in a pan; then potatoes, parsnips, stock. boil till veg cooked; take half out and blitz in blender and return to pan and reheat.

not glam tho.

you could also stick some pasta shapes in there as well if you have small-ish ones. take same time to cook as veg but you need a bit more liquid. you can add tin toms as part of liquid as well, although i may not if stock tasty enough.

I heard of this recipe as a Gordon Ramsay but googling brings up Jamie Oliver. Either way, it is yummy.

Oh senua, I didn't see your post last night, but I suddenly remembered that one and dug out the Jamie Oliver book.... so that is what we had.

haven't done it in years, had forgotten how nice it is.
