have just come back from the butchers with one jointed rabbit. does anyone have any ideas what to do witn it?
i was thinking seal the meat then stick it in a cassarole carrots onions swede ect on low for the rest of the day?
also can anyone tell me about the nutritional value of it i.e is it lean or especially good for you in anyway as its quite cheap in comparrison so i could be using it quite alot if it goes down well

Re nutrition stuff, this website says rabbit is relatively fat free but contains a lot of protein - so good with a balanced diet, but not to live off (which I assume you won't!) No problems then I think!

Rabbit goes very well with a stew made with some chopped up bacon, garlic, thyme and cider for the sauce, plus any veg you want to add.

Also very nice with a creamy mustard sauce mixed into pasta.
