ideas for birthday cake for 2 yr old

hi, I'm going to have a go at making a birthday cake for dd's 2nd birthday - just having family round so nothing too huge.

I'm getting some fancy cup cakes as well (got a voucher I need to use up), so probably don't want anything too rich but I'm not getting any inspiration from my millions of cook books.

I've got a Peppa Pig rice paper topper thing to put on it, so it may need some butter icing on top. Any ideas for a nice easy cake? ps I've only got one cake tin.

Yoghurt cake here is an example but you could google. Dead easy, use the pot to measure and wang it all in the bowl and mix. Slightly healthier than a normal sponge too (as it uses oil instead of butter).

thanks bumperlicious, that looks good, will try that out tomorrow!

tried the yoghurt cake out, was very nice made with lemon curd yoghurt, and a bit of icing (fruit juice and icing sugar) and 100's and 1000's sprinkled on top. dd has been shouting for it all day! (that and peppa pig!!)
