Rapeseed oil?

Okay I have a recipe that requires rapeseed oil, so on my latest food shop I looked (in ASDA I must admit!) They had every kind of oil, including grapeseed. I am easily confused!

Is there such a thing as rapeseed oil? Where can I find it? Do you think the book actually meant grapeseed oil? (The recipe is for muffins.)

Help! I trust the knowledge of Mumsnetters will shed light on this as they look yummy! And low-fat/low-cal!

Many "veg oil" bottles contain rapeseed, esp if they have yellow flowers on the front, bt it's not guaranteed. (Oilseed rape is that acid yellow flower you see fields of in the summer.) Sainsburys "veg" used to say "rapeseed" on the ingredients box but doesn't any more.

Sunflower oil will do - rapeseed is higher in mono-unsaturates or something but flavour will be similar. But try Waitrose (if you have it) or something similarly upmarket (we have Booths here and they stock it.)

waitrose sell it. It's the best for omega 3, since it seems to be fashionable nowadays ...

Got it at Morrisons, thanks all!

Banana and chocolate chip muffins tomorrow, yummy!
