Tomorrow we have guests arriving. I had planned to make chicken kebabs, jacket pots and coleslaw. Generally I make it with white cabbage, grated carrot and finely chopped onion and mix mayo and yoghurt together to stir into it.
Can anyone suggest something that may be missing from this?

Cherries? Wink

Nah. sounds just right. Maybe a bit of black pepper but certainly not far off the mark.

apple + dijon mustard. Mixing different kinds of cababge (red, savoy etc) is also good I do not use yoghurt but only put enough mayo on to gently coat veg.

Red cabbage makes it pretty and pink.

I like a bit of horseradish in the yoghurt to give it some bite.

All good ideas (except the cherries which never turned up).
I'll have a look in the supermarket when I go over, the problem is, you can never tell what is going to be available. I do try to buy seasonally and locally, but struggle sometimes with the source of some stuff.

I made this recently and it was lovely (although I was making a lower fat version!)
