been attempting my own currys for a while now, the last few have been ok, but there is an underlying taste that i dont like, so today ive had a good sniff of the spices i use and i reckon its turmeric that i dont like. i know its very common in curries but ive never tasted it as strong before. so whats best to use instead? tonight ive used cumin instead and its cooking now so not sure if it'll work.
