the perfect poached egg -how do you do yours

funny link she does hers in cling film

I've just bought egg poaching pan and it took ages
of course I got impatient and they were undercooked and stuck to the little poachiing trays

so how do you do yours?

Sauté pan boiling water drop eggs in and lid on, turn down to lowest. Toast on. I check the eys and have been known to turn them over.

I love poached eggs but hate egg White so a round ball is not what I like.

Oh and better than toast is a muffin!

hopeforthebest-do you mean you left the cup in the water?
did it just sink and stay there?
did it takes eons to cook the egg?

dd tried the poaching pan again this am , took ages and the eggs were slightly overcooked but still yummy.
she put a bit of butter in pod it to stop egg sticking

am going to try the ramekin method tomorrow morning
the quest for the perfect poached egg
wonder how they do it in fancy hotels were it's always perfect
