DSs birthday cake has sunk - twice!

I'm covering it in fondant icing. It will still taste alright won't it?

It's a chocolate cake and I think I opened the oven too soon to check it was done. both times!

If it's any consolation, my last cake also sunk and had a hole in a middle!

Wait for it to cool down then "grout" it with buttercream and let it set before applying another thin layer of buttercream.
