Chicken ideas needed!

I am cooking Nigella's jerk chicken breasts (fnaar fnaar) with rice and peas on saturday, but have just been told that one party can't do spicy, and this recipe is hot.

Has anyone got any ideas of which ingredients to leave out to do a fake non-spicy- jerk marinade for her? I would prefer to do this, but not sure if it will work...

Otherwise, any ideas what I can make for her? Has to be a chicken breast and go with rice and peas, so nothing too creamy- perhaps lemon and herb?

Any ideas appreciated...

Recipe looks delicious, I reckon if you made the dark, earthy paste (I love Nigella) without the chillies and took out a non spicy portion before adding and blitzing the chilli for everyone else it would work.
Presuming your non spicy guest likes flavour and it's just the heat they object to.

Wrap one breast in parma ham or bacon and bake and serve, don't fret.

Cheers, you two. You are exempt from damnation Grin

I think I'll have a bash at non-spicy jerk chicken, if that's possible... so what would I take out? Obviously the chillies, but the allspice? Or would it be ok to leave some in?

Would be helpful if you knew if fussy guest doesn't do heat or flavour spice in general.

I reckon the dish would be very tasty, but not hot just omitting the chillies.

If they don't like spice in general maybe the cayenne pepper and allspice could be left out of their marinade.
However it will still be a flavour packed dish.
If bland a more traditional taste is what they need, wotznot's chicken might be the way to go.
