Has anyone got a good pear cake recipe?

I have 6 over ripe pears and I am trying to find something to make with them!

Either make a chocolate sponge mix, pour it over the top and back in a hot oven for about 20 minutes until the sponge is springy (serve as a hot pudding with marscapone, ice cream or whipped cream), or try the poached pear recipe on my blog for tea tonight, which can also make them last a few days longer if kept in the fridge in the juices.

I was just about to post the same recipe scot, it is amaaaaazing! Worth buying new pears for in fact ;)
