What are you making/having made for you (if anything)?

Yesterday I cooked a nice sort-of V-Day dinner for my bf and the kids. We had:

Steak and stilton puff pastry pie
(Jamie Oliver's recipe)
Mashed potato
Broccoli

Chocolate fondants made in heart-shaped ramekins
Home-made raspberry ice cream, individually frozen in heart-shaped silicone cupcake cases, so as to look all pretty!

Tonight we won't get in til after 7pm, both of us will have been at work all day, so we have Tesco Finest meal deal to thank for dinner tonight:

Beef Wellington
Horseradish mash
Peas with leek and pancetta

Chocolate and amaretto mousse thingies.

We had family over yesterday so I spent what felt like the whole day in the kitchen! Today I have gone for something v.easy - posh pizza, caesar salad and tiramisu all ready made from sainsbo's!

DP is cooking salmon which has been marinading in lime, soy, chili and coriander and we're having it with noodles and stir fry. Have got clotted cream rice pudding for after.

Tesco mealdeal here after fighting crowds in M&S ad missing out on the last rib eye steaks in their deal. Have the chocolate/amaretto things here too.

We're having ours on Weds night due to DH being away. Pan-fried duck breasts with some sort of passionfruit sauce, plus some veggies and spuds. Prosciutto and melon mousse to start. Some sort of dessert to finish. Lots of wine and champagne! Wish me luck...never cooked duck breast before but am trying to get out of my culinary rut Hmm

Thanks, Pinner :)

Was a tad disappointed with the chocolate/amaretto things, as it turned out. The rest was amazing though.

Wow, Penguins! That sounds awesome. Duck breast is easy enough to cook -- just pan-fry it and then finish it off in the oven. Good luck :)
