'sticky' cake recipes...

just made the ginger sponge cake from the hairy bikers last week. DP liked it because it was 'sticky and nice' anyone got any other recipes that meet this highly articulate description?

THE lemon drizzle cake should fit the bill. here. Not tried it, but maybe this too?

yy to lemon drizzle, also ones with nuts in tend to be quite squidgy, eg orange and almond etc

storminabuttercup would you be able to put the recipe on here, what you made sounds absolutely delicious! Did you serve it just as it is or warm with custard?

'Queen Mum's favourite' date and walnut cake always goes down a storm when I make it, I would definitely say it is sticky & nice :)

poppy the recipe is here we had it warm with vanilla custard (asda extra special] but then i've had a few slices since with a cuppa and its been lovely cold too. DP warmed some for 30 secs in the microwave and that was good too!
