Can anyone help me with this? My daughter does'nt like birthday cake but loves Rocky Road bars. I am not an expert at cake making but this appeals to me as you dont have to cook it - just leave it to set in the fridge. Normally you make tis in a tray and cut into slices. Does anyone know if it will work in a round tin so I can make it look more like a birthday cake? I want to do something special for her but worried in case its a disaster!!

Can't see why it wouldn't work in a round tin but it will be as flat as in a tray. If you try to make it thicker I think it will be difficult to cut. You could use writing icing and write a happy birthday message on top and circle it with small cupcakes with candles stuck in them so she can still blow out the candles and the children who like cake can eat the cupcakes. Have a look at Millies Biscuits chain shop and you'll see they do very large biscuits with iced messages on top. Just copy these and you'll be fine. Especially good for teenagers who've outgrown birthday cakes - my dd1 and her friends all prefered them.
