Pad thai - peanuts, what kind?

My recipe simply says "roasted peanuts". My peanuts are quite heavily salted, I assume I need to get rid of some of the salt before adding????

I can't get another type of nuts before tonight, so need to make the peanuts work, happy to wash/brush them off if necessary!

Do I need to?

Yes it should be unsalted but salted peanuts might add a nice taste. Try it and see how it goes.

Alternatively, roll them around in some kitchen roll to remove any excess.
