Is this meat ok?

Bought Turkey mince from Tesco. When it arrived the plastic packaging was bulging/inflated.
Is this ok or has the meat gone off?

Wouldn't normally worry but the other day a customer in local co-op took a pile of chicken to the counter and said it was no good because of the inflated packet.

If the date on it is okay and it looks/smells okay I would use it.

Have never heard anything about inflated packaging before Hmm

Date is fine.
I thought it was something to do with gases from meat going off but i am probably wrong lol. I am about to smell it!

I've regularly seen and used inflated packaging, with no ill effects

I have always thought that if the packet was inflated it meant that it wasn't safe to eat. It becomes inflated when air gets in to the packet, due to a tiny hole, and is 'blown' This allows bacteria to multiply as it's no longer vacuum packed.

I def wouldn't eat it.But then I am v fussy.

Oh no conflicting advice.
I am always nervous cooking meat now don't know if i can eat it. Smells ok though.

Should be okay if it smells and looks good.
