any inspiration? I was thinking of maramalade bread and butter pudding (with home made marmalade. natch) but is that a bit, oh, I don't know, rustic...

dh is doing lamb pot roast for main.

French martini - vodka, pineapple juice, chambord.

Or buy a bottle of chambord and mix it with Cava, or vodka and soda with sprigs of mint.

I got this from Nigella kitchen - Black Velvet, instead of using champagne use Asti (yes, really, but champagne too dry tasting) mixed with Guinness.

I love Chambord and it is only £6 a bottle.

Reality, that cheesecake recipe sounds amazing! I'm afraid I've nicked it and will claim all the credit when I serve it up on Sunday :o
