What food do you keep in your garage?

About to have a garage for the first time in my life. Garage right next to the kitchen - plan to put in a big freezer to batch freeze home cooked meals. Kitchen at the moment isn't too big so what can store there - potatoes/veg, apples from the apple tree I presume. A bit clueless really, MIL used to store most of her kitchen in hers but she is rather odd, she freezes nearly all her food so I would not want to use her as a guide!

Freezer. Tins, jars. Bottles of lemonade.

Strong plastic boxes with weighted down lids for things like teabags, bread flour, pasta rice This is important as if you have any food accessible in a garage, mice will be attracted and will get in, and they can lift storage box lids! I used to keep apples up on a shelf but they got nibbled - don't keep any food exposed.
