breakfast for my 7 month old

My son (7 months) will only eat 3 teaspoons of breakfast (ready brek with banana for instance) if I give him 210ml milk beforehand at 7am. If I swap it round he'll only drink 60ml of milk after breakfast (with say 30ml of milk in it).
Is it more important that he gets the full bottle of milk or the food at breakfast?

he needs to be getting around 600ml of milk in the day - doesn't really matter when. Any less than 500mls daily at that age you should ask your doc about a supplement cos the milk is where they get most of their Vits and iron at that age. I give my 8 month DC milk at 7am when he wakes up then "breakfast" at 8/8.30am ish - takes both if it's spaced out enough.
