has anyone got any tips for cooking htem without loads of oil or butter? I often like to add them to roast vegetables or omelettes but they gobble up oil and I am watching the calories.

I just put them on a low heat with a bit of water which works fine.

you can also microwave them or roast with a very light spray of oil, but i tend to brush it on the tray, they shrink a lot when you oven bake though

you can do all of the above, or just dry fry them.

but FOR GOD'S SAKE DON'T PEEL THEM AS LIFE IS TOO SHORT.

Minute amount of oil or butter and really high heat. Or dry fry them in a non stick pan.
