Mint sauce best before Nov 10. Will it be OK on Sunday?

The jar has never been opened and has been kept in the fridge for, well probably quite a long time.

I'm really looking forward to my roast lamb on Sunday, I haven't had it for ages.

Yes, it will be fine IMO. I would use it.
If in doubt throw it out, a new jar will not break the bank.

It should be fine, "best before" is mostly a guide to when the eating quality might not be up to scratch. I'd open it now and check, if you're not happy, bin it.

On the other hand, I'd never mess with "use by" dates.

Thanks I just tried a little bit. It tasted OK.

I hope that I don't poison them all. I will encourage them to finish the whole jar though. Now that it has been opened.

of course it will be fine......

Yeah.

It's mainly vinegar, a preservative.
