I've got 3 cakes that are needed for next week but I start a new job and have to go to hospital one day so I want to do as much in advance as I can. I've baked two of them today and I'm wondering if I can ice them as well before freezing them.

the icing will be sticky when you deforst it. its best not to ice them in case you end up reicing them and thus wasting time and money.

Well I'm going to do a layer of sugarpste and then put buttercream over it so should it be OK? All the sugarpaste will be covered.
