Hosting a charitable evening. Providing a cold buffet, 1/2 bottle of wine per person plus some entertainment What is the most you would pay for a ticket?

depends on the entertainment - if band plus black tie/dancing/nice venue then £50

if community hall/disco/smart dress then £20-25 ish.

It is a village hall with a band

I would pay £20-25 or that, sounds fun

Probably about £25 a head.
You could offer discount for 6 or more tickets, may be an incentive to get friends together.
Hope it goes well.

Thank you all for your replies...the discount idea also sounds interesting.

It does depend on the location too.

In some of the Valley towns here in S.Wales, not many people could afford £25 a ticket.

That would be a huge chunk of their benefit.
