I have found the receipes and meal plannings everyone has contributed to on here absolutely great and I thought it might be good to do a lunchbox meal planner as I find it so difficult to be inventive everyday. Just thought it would be great to be able to go onto Mumsnet and do a lunchbox planner for the whole week. .

Heres a couple of mine.

cheese and mango chutney sandwich, babybel, grapes.

mini pasta mixed with cucumber, cherry tomatoes and ham or chicken and pizza express dressing.

Anyone else??
chinese chicken and lettuce in a sandwich wrap.

ds1 will only have grated cheese in white bread or if i'm lucky he will have it in that best of both bread.

whereas ds2 eats anything and has quite adventourous taste, at the moment his favourite is brie and grape in granary bread, a wrap with tuna peppers, sweetcorn in (also likes this in wholemeal pitta).

also do him pasta salads with the usual veg, cucumber, tomatoes, sweetcorn, peppers and through in a handful of chopped cold meats e.g salami, ham, chicken, or fish like tuna.

cold dippy things (this is where mcd's comes in handy for knicking there pots of ketchup, barbecue, sweet and sour etc) like chicken strips, sausages, cheese sticks, bread sticks, and other crunchy veg carrots, cucumber, celery. he thinks its great to dip cucumber in ketchup!

then i just normally give him some fruit, yogurt, and a drink usually water as has juice or milk from nursery.

lol, crunchie!

DS2 (who is TWELVE) has peanut butter (in Best of Both bread) + frube + apple + fruit juice Mon-Fri, yawn.

(Last week though he made me buy some chicken tikka from Sainsburys and had that in submarine rolls with lettuce and salad cream so that was exciting...)

JanH - peanut butter is one of picky eater dd's few favourites. But, she's not allowed to bring it to school in her lunch box as a very few of the children at the school have a nut allergy.

DD2 will eat anything but loves chicken and cucumber rolls. D1 on the other hand can sniff out protein befor she has even opened her lunch box, she woul quite happily eat lettuce rolls everyday!
