Easy Soup Recipes For Toddlers Please?

I am writing a little recipe book for my friend who has a 3 yr old boy - She's just learning how to cook family meals and I am trying to inspire her to make some homemade food. Her little boy tried soup at playgroup and now she would like some recipes for soups/stews for her boy that she can make and freeze in portions.

Dose anyone have any good recipes?

i just stick in a load of veggies, tiny bit of veg stock and some mixed broth pulses (sold all in a bag together in supermarket) and leave it to slowly cook untill its all soft. veg broth. I do it different every time so i don't use a recipe to follow.

I do the same with stews etc just bung some meat and various veggies with a bit of stock in to cook in a casserole dish in the oven for about an hour till its all cooked tender. Add tin of chopped tomatoes to it to make it different, add a can of mixed beans (sainsburys) to mane it healthy.

I add lentils to mine (never heard of mixed broth pulses - they sound fab!).

I quite often put some small pasta shapes in - kids ones would make it quite fun!

Butternut squash if fab in soups, as it is a very sweet veg, and smooth.

Do you have a pressure cooker? I can make a soup in less than 15 mintutes using mine - great for cold days when we get back from the park. Favourite is veg soup - use as many or as few ingredients as you wish, depending on how many you're making it for or if you want to freeze / save for the next day.

Fry onion and garlic
Cube potatoes,
chop celery, carrots, green beans, spring greens, swede etc(whatever you've got in the fridge)and add to the onions and garlic once they are soft.
2 teaspoons marigold stock
Tin of tomatoes (optional)
Add enough liquid to cover all veg by an inch or two.
Put the lid on the pressure cooker and cook for 5-8 mins (depending on how firm you like your veg).
You can add peas or cooked left over veg like broccoli at the end.
My kids are used to eating soup with bits but if we have their friends over, I often whizz it up for them. You can grate a bit of cheese over it and serve it with bread.

Mine and me like Pea and courgette soup - lovely bright green colour .

Fry onion, chop potato and courgette, add stock cook until veg soft add frozen peas for a couple of mins and then just puree the lot - yummy

Now the weather is colder again, i've started doing this one again.

Also good to use for gravey - mix a couple of cubes into any gravey to add secret veg

Carrot and corriander

Soften an onion in butter, add small diced potato, 1 lb of carrots, 1/2 tspn ground corriander, little salt and pepper. 1/2 - 1pt pt veg stock. Simmer til veg is soft, whizz it in a blender, Nice and 'sweet' for toddlers. sprinkle with fresh corriander if liked. You can also add milk if it gets too thick. Easy peasy.
