Do you titivate?

I do in my head, but when it comes to it I'm too lazy short of time.

Today I had some marvellous goat's cheese on walnut bread and as I was preparing it I thought Hmm would be lovely warmed with a bit of honey, walnuts and some rocket on the side.

I had all the ingredients but decided just to eat it simply and ended up just eating it standing up while flicking through a cookbook.

So I think I titivate in theory but cba to do it in practice.

How do you do it?

Ha, I cook in my head, but when it comes to it I'm too lazy short of time Grin

I would eat things simply if I am cooking/making just for myself. If we have company or for an important meal I like finishing touches.

What is titivate?

No. I slop the food on the plate and yell "SUPPER!" several times through the house. I'm a reasonable cook but my presentation is woeful. I'd fail the Masterchef challenge.

No - I often think about it but by that point I'm so hungry greedy that I can't be bothered.

DH has a cousin who almost spends more time presenting the food than cooking it, if you don't comment on the marvelous presentation she gets all offended.
I once asked her if she did this when she was eating alone or it was just her husband and children and she wsa shocked and said that of course she would.

My baking has been referred to as "ugly but tasty" before.

My boss says "titivate" when he asks us to tidy up a certain section on the shop floor.

I cant help but giggle.

Or as my DM eloquently puts it "It looks like the dog threw it up, but it tastes lovely".

Puts everyone off of their meal every time.
